Background
If you have been around the London poker scene, you may recall the Gala Casino at Russell Square had a busy cardroom back in the day. It wasn't making enough money and management decided to close it down. Seven years later, they have reintroduced poker, albeit on a much smaller scale.
Theres been some new management in 2013 and there are no longer tournaments and just one cash table now @ £50 - £500 buy in and £1/£2 Blinds.
Food & Drink
There's a restaurant, and of course you can get all the regular bar food and drinks on the casino floor as well.
Membership
You can join the same day, as long as you have proper ID
Dress code
No hats, no shorts

Recommended. Holdem tournies on Tues/Weds/Thurs. The Tues one is £30 + £10 bounty - normal amount of runners can range between 10-22. Players are reasonable to good with no sharks. Ideal place for the inexperienced. Organised well with the resources available - the dealers and staff are the most relaxed in London imo. Food is good, the casino has a v good restaurant. Smoking area is adjacent to the cardroom - also the loos. Only neg is the cardroom is smallish and can get a trifle humid.

This place is smaller than other places but it has its charm. A nice atmosphere, welcoming, good banter amongst players. A mix of experience and fish players. Free food, free drinks, good service while you play, you'll have a decent night here. I can't really give it 5 stars though because there aren't enough tables.
