The Western Club is one of the largest cardrooms in the UK, located in West London in Acton. The whole premises covers 11,000 sq. feet and they can host up to 300 players at a time. After a change of management, they are having a resurgence of sorts, with a friendlier atmosphere, comfortable surroundings, solid tournament schedule, and interesting new promotions.

Formerly just a pub poker game at the Furzedown pub, the Pollards Hill Poker Club now have a full gaming permit and have added some new games at different stakes. This is a popular SW London local club with low stakes poker, running out of Tooting Progressive Club.
Great cardroom for the recreational low stakes player - central location, low blinds/buy-ins, and friendly atmosphere.
Equal Chance is located in Walthamstow in East London. It has a very friendly, family environment, and a great tournament schedule. This is a good cardroom for players of all levels.
Better known as The Vic, this casino cardroom is a poker landmark in the UK, and the spot for high stakes cash games in London. This is a classy cardroom, extremely well-run, and boasts the widest variety of games and stakes you will find in London. It's not unusual to spot the odd poker pro playing at one of the tables.
The Royal Surrey is a great venue with nice, new facilities. There are three floors all under one roof - a pub with live entertainment on the ground floor, a snooker hall on the top floor, and their cardroom in the middle. So it doesn't have to be all about poker at the Royal Surrey.
THE FOX POKER CLUB HAS NOW CLOSED
There's no cardroom that's more convenient to go to than Casino at the Empire. Located smack in the middle of Leicester Square, open 24/7, and you don't even need to become a member to play. There's always action, and very loose action at that.
The Hippodrome Casino, located centrally in Leicester Square, opened in July 2012 and offers a nice mix of cash game action.

The Chiswick Poker Club is a small club located in Chiswick in West London. It runs only 3 days a week, and they play for small stakes. If you live in West London, and are looking for a fun and cheap game of poker, they are worth checking out.
Gala Casino Russell Square no longer offers tournaments and only one table with cash game action.
Unfortunately, Paddington casino closed in Nov 2009!

In partnership with Bluff Europe, this cardroom opened its doors in May 2010. The casino is now called Genting Casino Cromwell Mint, and if you are looking for mid-range buy-ins and good value this cardroom is worth checking out.
This casino offers purely cash games. The location is pretty central, so if you are looking for some low stakes poker and don't feel like travelling too far to play, this place is worth trying. You can also collect loyalty points at the cash tables which is pretty uncommon at cardrooms.
Palm Beach Casino caters to the high stakes poker player. Only cash games are offered now at the Palm Beach.
Aspers Casino in Westfield Stratford City is the largest 'supercasino' in Britain, and the 15-table poker has a solid tournament schedule and lots of soft cash action.
THIS CLUB HAS NOW CLOSED.
It's not strictly in London but it is close enough for us to mention here on Londonpokerguide. This is a decent private members club with good comps and some interesting promotions.
The River Card Club is located way up in Stanmore in North London. It's quite a small cardroom, with a very friendly and social atmosphere. If you live in North London, this cardroom is worth checking out.
The 888Poker Super Stack (formerly know as the London Poker Circuit) is not a cardroom as such, but a poker circuit offering large scale tournaments with affordable buy-ins and deep structures.
